Finn Blaxland

The Week in Finn (October 1, 2006)

You can't go wrong in life with magic blue eyes and a gnome on your chest. Note that aforementioned blue eyes are still blue one year later!!

Overhead crib shot. Soon to be featured on the MTV.

This was the second time (the first being earlier that day) when Finn stood up without holding on to anything. Walking, it turns out, was only a few days later. Don't let go of orange star!!

Finn dines out on some of the finest Cherios money can buy at a Radnor restaurant. He eats out on occasion, though more often than not at establishments which do not frown upon food throwing.

At a friends 1st birthday party, Finn discovers playing with soccer balls does not only happen in the family room, but also in parks. Good times ensued. In the end the actual grass was more entertaining. It's like Guppie hair (you can pull it out etc.) only its green.

Spending the afternoon in the back yard. Hard core fans will note that the fence between us and our neighbors has been removed which we really like.

Artful image now used as Fall homepage shot. Love the hair.

Obviously one of Finn's fashion model shots. Pout baby, pout!

Finn stops short of walking to mommy. Wood trim around doors to hopefully be applied soon.

Finn standing in his bed. You'll notice the very excellent mobile above which his Millennium greats gave him. It moves perfectly with the recently installed air-conditioning vents. Ahh sweet central air.

Finn fully endorses the balloons given to him early in the morning by his friends at a certain California based specialty supermarket.

And now he is leaving to see the world. First stop, California. Then, the Hanging Gardens of Babylon.

Latching on to mommy. As his theme song now goes, "...you will not escaaaape his clutches...".

Finn gets an early birthday present from grandfather Chris. We were all startled when it started hooning across the floor. Beep beep Non-Bob the Baumeister!

Finn attempts to eat grandmother Kim's tea mug...

...but is talked out of it through a cunning use of science theory and logic. Those darn Blaxland brains!

When spotted in Soho, the bulldog onesie seemed perfect for the "sensitive rugby player" as Jenny calls him.

Finn explores the edge parameters of static cling. Or maybe sensitive rugby playing.

I know Mommy was here a moment ago...hide and seek gets a little more advanced.

In a very telling moment, Finn (AKA DJ Vomit) grabbed a spool of blank CDs (outside of the shot but in his right hand), discovered one of the mixing consoles in the office and started to make tracks. The kid's got a fever, and the only prescription is more cowbell.

Photography Notes

A lot has been happening as Finn approaches his first birthday. Now that he is walking the world is his for the taking, and he's off to get it.
