Finn Blaxland

The Week In Finn (August 20, 2008)

While at Ikea (great place to be able to run around for Finn on a rainy day) Finn tries out every bed in the store. Here we have the "InkBløtr" model.

In recent days Finn has taken to carrying all his favorite toys (approx 15-20) at the same time everywhere. We can see here his "Som MaQueen bayg" and "Max" the truck. Inside the bag are many other racecars.

Playing cars with Jay in the dirt while their cousin Emily graduates high school in the background.

Finn holds on very tightly to one of Jay's Nascar toys while Jay drives through China Town on the Wii. Jay is not a huge fan of his Wii as it's not Nascar approved. It's foreign.

Finn with some new racecars from the toy store that he would prefer not to open at this time. He likes to savor the moment.

And yes, he's savoring at the playground.

We have started taking Finn to Doraland...aka Longwood Gardens. For those of you familiar with Dora the Explorer's work, there are a lot of paths to choose from, tree houses, crocodile lakes, ice-cream trucks, bridges and forests. Longwood is no different. Well the crocodiles maybe. Here is Finn running down a "pack" or as you might say...path.

Longwood has crazy tree houses this year.

Finn taking the stairs up.

Waterfall..check.

Troll bridge...check.

There is also a great inside garden at Longwood.

Part of which is the kids area. Here is Finn showing his bellybutton to a frog.

Admiring a lizard.

Trying to get as wet as the girl on the left there...

And in the spooky Harry Potter type basement. Steaming water is a nice touch.

Back home, here's Finn with his mostly ignored plush toys. As Squidward would say, they're boring.

And lastly Finn in the "tunnel" (not boring).

Photography Notes

Longwood Gardens was a Dupont family estate (Dupont chemicals), but is now open to the public. It's about 10 mins from Finn's house.
