Finn Blaxland

The Week in Finn (April 28, 2007)

Recently (though quite prematurely) Finn decided to test out some next generation Finnmobiles™. First up, he borrowed for the day a fancy and fairly rare German number. Potential new Finnmobile™ can be seen on the left, current Finnmobile™ on the right. Finn in the middle looking thoughtful.

Finn really liked this candidate for Finnmobile08™. It had great handling, was a lot of fun to drive and made a great roaring sound when you hit the gas (more, more!). Out of a possible score of 10, this car had a BadAss Quiotient [pat. pending] of 13. But though the rear hatch had ample room to hold his stroller and fixin's, Finn was shocked to discover that there was no back seat, and hence no-where for him to sit. Nice grille though...

Finn back at the park with a somewhat worried look on his face, maybe due to the impending slide in front of him.

Finn takes the Trikemobile for a spin in the park. Oh wait, that ride has 4 wheels. Is there such a thing as a four wheel trike? Finn still has trouble making this guy go forward, though backwards is pretty easy.

Still at the park, Finn tries some four sided seesaw action. Yeeeehaaahh!

Finn heads over to Radnor, where he hears not only the food is good, but there are some more knarly rides to be had. Mmmmm "Abb-baasss" (apple sauce).

Sure enough, Radnor tax payers have built some great rides for the kids including this covered slide. Good for both sliding in the rain (cue Mr. Kelly) or on sunny days when you don't want the slide to burn your butt off. This shot is a homage to James Bond.

Further into the park at Radnor with Chris and Kim. Finn's maternal grandmother surely wishes us to point out that she would have been as formally dressed as her husband for the occasion, but had just stopped painting to join us on the field.

Chris and Finn quite enjoy the 2 sided see-saw.

And Kim with Finn quite enjoying the swing. First time on the big kids swing for Finn. HOLD ON!

Radnor taxpayers also pay for another of Finn's favorite things... BUSSSSS! More, more BUSSSSS! WoW.

A nice quiet shot of Finn in the backyard. Nice shot of the chimney there too.

Finn tries to attack his mother, the Mambo Goddess.

Later, peace is restored; by the look on Jenny's face, most likely through a gratuitous use of Barney.

At the end of the week, Finn tried another contender for Finnmobile08™. This one was not quite as sexy, and in fact is very similar to one of his current cars. But it did have new twin turbos which he heard are very in demand and more importantly, this car is equipped with a back seat. That means he can come too.

Photography Notes

In his humble opinion, Finn thinks there is always room for one more Finnmobile™ in the world. Or at least in his driveway.
